  • Tom Ipomai Tom Ipomai CHAIRMAN ×

    CHAIRMAN

    He joined the Board in July, 2013. He is Corporate Finance specialist, graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science at the University of Nairobi. Tom later did postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge (Jesus College) as a Commonwealth Scholar studying for a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Management Studies. Tom eventually wrote his Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) examinations completing them in straight passes in two years and all by home study. Tom has previously worked in the Central Bank of Kenya, Barclays Bank in UK, Kenya and Zambia and Deloitte’s corporate finance advisory division. Tom currently works as the Chief Executive Officer of Ler Ltd, a real-estate focused Investment Company. He serves as the Chairman of Human Resources and IT Committees. He also sits in the Credit and Procurement Committees.

  • Daniel Zitunga Daniel Zitunga DIRECTOR ×

    DIRECTOR

    He joined the Board in December 2011. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (B.Com) (Honours) from Makerere University, Uganda and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with distinction awarded by the University of Leicester, UK. He qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPAK) in 1991 in Kenya. He is a member of the Institutes of Certified Public Accountants in Uganda and Rwanda.  He is the Lead Partner of ZiMpartners; a firm of Certified Public Accountants & Management Consultants established in Kigali, and brings on board 27 years professional experience spanning a broad spectrum of business sectors including commercial banks, telecommunications, international hotels, manufacturing, agriculture, hydroelectric power generation, civil engineering, general trading and donor-funded public sector projects. He was the Chief Financial Officer at MTN Rwanda for four years to 2004, and previously was audit manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG respectively. He lectures (visiting tutor) Corporate Governance course to students preparing for Masters of Science in Accounting at the National University of Rwanda.

  • Speciose Ayinkamiye Speciose Ayinkamiye DIRECTOR ×

    DIRECTOR

    She joined the Board in May 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Economic Sciences Degree from the National University of Rwanda and a Post-graduate Diploma in Banking Technology from the Institute Technique de Banque in Paris, France. She has 9 years working experience in senior banking positions as well as extensive training in the field. She served as a Senator in the Rwandan Parliament, Senate Chamber and as a Board Member of many esteemed organizations. She is currently consulting with Restrad Consultancy Ltd.

  • Molly Rwigamba Molly Rwigamba DIRECTOR ×

    DIRECTOR

    She joined the Board in April 2013. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the National University of Rwanda and a Masters in International and Comparative law from Uppsala University in Sweden. She has 14 years of experience in various capacities as a legal and private sector expert and has served as the Private Sector Federation CEO (Ag). She is the vice-chair of the Capital Markets Authority and serves on the boards of the Work Force Development Authority, National labor Council and Education Endowment Fund. She is currently a Partner and Consultant at RR Associates & Co Advocates. 

  • John Bosco Birungi John Bosco Birungi Director ×

    Director

    John joined the Board in 2018. He holds an MBA in Finance from Brandeis University in Boston, Massachusetts and a BSc in Quantitative Economics from Makerere University, Uganda. 

    John is currently the Director of UAP Insurance Rwanda, Elon Construction and JIBU Corporate. He previously served as the CEO of Crystal Ventures Ltd and on the Boards of MTN Rwanda, Rwanda Investment Group and CIMERWA. He worked in investment banking with Bank of America's Global Industries Group in New York, in commercial banking and market research with Fleet Boston Bank and AC Nielsen respectively and as an Analyst with Trudeau & Trudeau Associates in Boston. John is the founder of the Vision Sports Academy in Rwanda and the President of the Rwanda Table Tennis Federation. 

  • Antonia Muturo Antonia Muturo Director ×

    Director

    Antonia joined the Board in 2017. She holds a Diploma in Education from Kyambogo, a certificate in MSM Executive Program in Management of Change for Organization Transition from Maasticht School of Management and a Master of Education from Leed University in UK.

    She is currently the Director General of National Capacity Development and Employment Services Board (CESB) and Executive Secretary of National Capacity Building Secretariat (NCBS). She is the founder and Executive Director of the Institute of Policy Analysis and Research (IPAR) in Rwanda and has over 13 years of experience in governance, leadership and resource mobilization. Antonia previously served as Chairperson of Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), Board member of Public Sector Capacity Building secretariat (PSCBS) and Vice Chair Umutara Polytec University.

  • Timothy Mwai Timothy Mwai Director ×

    Director

    Timothy joined the board in 2018. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Idaho, USA.
    He is a seasoned Human Resources professional with extensive experience at senior management and board levels who has shaped high performance culture in Multinational organisations and major growth brands, with robust development programs that have produced double digit revenue growth.
    Timothy’s Specialties are: HR strategy development and execution, Organization review and development, talent engagement and development, Union negotiations, Q12, Gallup strength finder.

  • George Odhiambo George Odhiambo Managing Director ×

    Managing Director

    George joined the bank in September 2013. He previously served as Head, Business Analytics & Transformation at KCB Bank Kenya. George’s early career included Branch Manager at Standard Chartered Bank Kenya, Area Manager at Barclays Bank Kenya, before becoming Head, Business Analytics, East & West Africa at Barclays Africa. A graduate of the University of Nairobi in BSc Mathematical Statistics & MSc Pure Mathematics and Post Graduate Diploma graduate in Corporate Governance from KCA University, Kenya. He has 16 years’ experience in Commercial Banking.

     Secretary

    Manzi Brice joined the Bank in 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Rwanda and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practices (PG Dip. LP) from the Institute of Legal Practices and Development. He is a certified arbitrator, member of the Kigali International Arbitration Center and a member of the Rwanda Bar Association (Advocate).

    Albert joined the bank in September 2015. Albert has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Makerere University Business School. His professional background is in Strategic Communication and Advertising having spent 10 years developing brands in the East African Region. He joins from GTBank Rwanda where he was Manager of Communication and External Affairs

    HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCE

    Katherine joined the Bank on 1st December 2014. She holds a Master’s of Science degree in Human Resources from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot – Watt University in the United Kingdom. She also holds a Post Graduate degree in Industrial Psychology and Industrial Sociology, and a Bachelor of Social Science degree both from Rhodes University, Grahamstown South Africa. Katherine has twelve years Human Resource experience from various industries including banking, media and automobile industry.

    HEAD OF IT

    Emmanuella joined KCB Bank Rwanda in 2011.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Staffordshire University in Malaysia, an international advanced diploma in computer studies from NCC Education in the UK, a digital money certificate and several other professional certificates. Emmanuella has 8 years’ progressive experience in managing information technology, product development and digital banking.

    Head of Credit

    Etienne joined KCB Bank Rwanda in August 2011. He holds an MBA in Banking from the Maastricht School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the National University of Burundi. Prior to joining KCB, Etienne respectively served as Head of Corporate Credits Department and Head of Commercial Department at BCR Bank (current I&M Bank), Director of Credits at Bancor (current Access Bank) and Head of Commercial Banking Group at Access Bank Rwanda. He has over 28 years' experience in Commercial Banking and is the Chairperson of the Rwanda's National Fund for Environment (FONERWA).

    HEAD OF OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS

    Thomas joined KCB Bank Rwanda in September 2017. He holds an MBA from National University of Science & Technology in Zimbabwe, Post Graduate Diploma in Information Management Systems from University of Greenwich, UK and is an ACCA Member from the UK. Prior to joining KCB, Thomas served as Chief Operating Officer at dfcu Bank Uganda and also served as Head of Operations at Standard Chartered Bank in Uganda. He has over 26 years’ experience in Banking across East & Southern Africa, India and England.

  • Innocent Africa Innocent Africa Head of Risk and Compliance ×

    Head of Risk and Compliance

    Innocent joined KCB Bank Rwanda in 2014. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Kigali Independent University and a Masters degree in Strategic Management from Mount Kenya University. Innocent previously worked as Manager of Non-Financial risk at the Bank and as the Compliance team lead at Access Bank Plc. He is a certified risk management professional with over 9 years experience in Enterprise risk management.
